6x6 Oil on Ampersand Gessobord
This month the challenge was to paint something shiny and metallic and the photo offered by the contributing artist - Ans Debije really captivated me because of the deep warm tones of the subject, so I didn't look for anything around the house to paint. It was hard to figure out the correct colors and I still didn't get the values quite right, but it was a terrific challenge and I enjoyed it!
It looks perfect to me! Wow, I love this painting.

ReplyDeleteI never really thought about what might be hardest to paint... or Tattoo... until I hear Artists who have mad skills discussing it. I watched many of the Body Art Reality Shows for a long time and who knew that Tattooing Hands was one of the more challenging subjects? Now when I see someone with a Tattoo with Hands I find myself really appreciating the Artist that got it Right and how scared I'd be to have someone try to do a Tattoo with Hands because of what I heard some of the best say about it's challenge! At least on a NOT Human Canvas, if it doesn't work out, no harm, no foul.
